My Qualifications:

Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours

Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling

Master of Applied Psychology (Community)

My background:

Originally from rural Victoria and having now lived in Melbourne for over 10 years, I value the importance of understanding the different social, cultural, and community factors that can shape a person’s experiences and wellbeing.

I began my career in mental health in 2015 as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, supporting individuals navigating recovery following significant life events, road accidents, interpersonal conflict, and workplace injuries, including both physical and psychological injuries. In 2017, I expanded my practice into counselling within employment services, working with individuals experiencing complex mental health concerns, family violence, substance use issues, homelessness, disability, and social disadvantage. During this time, I also provided support to asylum seekers and refugees.

These experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of looking beyond symptoms alone to gain a deeper understanding of each person, their relationships, environment, and the broader systems influencing their well-being and motivated me to complete my post-graduate psychology training in Community Psychology. My training in community psychology deepened my focus on trauma-informed, person-centred care, with an emphasis on understanding individuals within the context of their environment and lived experiences.

Since becoming a Registered Psychologist, I have worked in private practice, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds presenting with a broad range of mental health concerns and life challenges. I value creating a therapeutic space that is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental, where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build insight, and develop practical strategies to support meaningful and lasting change. My approach draws on evidence-based therapies while remaining flexible and responsive to each person’s individual goals, strengths, and circumstances.

As a Registered Psychologist, I work with adults across a range of presentations, including:

ADHD

Autism

PTSD and Complex Trauma

Anxiety

Depression

Stress and burnout

Workplace concerns and injuries

Relationship concerns

Grief and loss

I use evidence-based approaches in therapy including:

EMDR
